Obviously I’m not great at blogging at this stage of life. I totally forget about it, or the camera, for weeks these days, and then feel guilty when I remember. So I apologize to you faithful readers for ditching you. It’s probably just the grandparents still around by this time…and some aunts. :)

Abraham put this hat on while playing this morning and it was so cute that I actually thought to get the camera! What I didn’t realize in the dim lighting is this:

Charlie took Eli on a date last night, so Sammy, Abraham and I had some quality time here at home. We got out play dough and I took some pics of that. Maybe that’ll be the next post!

Happy New Year! We ended 2011 with a week alone here while the boys ended it with a week of partying with Papaw, Mamaw and all the other Ohio family. Charlie and I really enjoyed our week resting and actually reflecting on the new year. (Thanks again, Mamaw and Papaw!)

It was a great week, but I can’t wait to see these sweet faces tomorrow!

Maybe we’ll have a few blissful days before our old bad habits return. Or maybe more!

This is what we’ll be doing tomorrow night. Snuggles! Till they wiggle away.

Eli’s Birthday Flashback

Eli’s golden birthday was last month…he turned 4 on November 4!! He had a big party this year with Nana, Mamaw and Papaw, Uncle Greg and our family. (For our little introvert, this was about as big as he likes.) We put up streamers, balloons, made a Robin cake (Batman and Robin), he put a dinosaur toy on top of the cake…he was so excited about it all!

Sometimes Eli gets lost in the bustle of life or larger personalities in our family, so it was really nice to be focused on him and to see him enjoying the limelight. He is a very sweet boy with a tender heart. We love Eli very much and thank God for him!

Christmas Cards

We’re doing Christmas Cards this year!!! (I know, pick yourself up off the ground…) We took some pictures the other day and ordered photo cards, which should arrive next week! I’m really hoping they turn out well.

Anyway, we took some cute pictures of the boys while we were getting things set up for our family photo. They are a bit blurry but you can really see Abraham’s curls and everyone’s blue eyes stand out so I couldn’t keep from sharing them.

I’ve been totally silent lately on the blog…Abraham’s very busy these days, often wanting to be held or have all of my attention (or I’m chasing after him!). Hopefully I’ll play catch up soon. We went to Ohio for Thanksgiving so I’ve got a few pics from that to share (it was so fun that I forgot to take many pictures, but let me tell you, my nephew and nieces are CUTE!) and some pics from last month. But until then, here’s a few to throw out there for the grandparents. :)

The boys were feeling particularly snuggly on a cold morning last week. They all got blankets and laughed a lot as they cuddled together. Super cute!

New ‘Do

I got a haircut last week and had the stylist straighten my hair. I haven’t straightened my hair in years, and it’s never been this straight, so it was pretty drastic difference. I think Charlie was a little freaked out by it and he said he felt like he had a new wife. I felt like that when he shaved off his beard a few years ago, which got me thinking that we maybe need to change things up a bit more often. :)Here’s me the next day:

Should I straighten it more often? I can’t decide. (I’d probably have to buy oil that she used to get the same effect.) It sort of annoyed me by the end of the day, but I’m sure I’d get used to it.
